Sunday Night Delivers Double Dose of Adrenaline

Last night was an awesome night for television! Between Skywire and Falling Skies, America was stressed, confused and went to bed knowing a restless night of sleep was ahead.

First, Discovery featured the Skywire event with Nik Wallenda. Nik is an aerialist that comes from a long line of stuntmen, and yesterday was his ultimate feat. His stunt consisted of walking across the Grand Canyon via the Skywire: a 1400 ft long cable that measured 2 inches wide and hung 1500 feet over the Little Colorado Gorge. Not only did Nik compete the task in just over 22 minutes, but he did so without a net, tether or safety line. America was on the edge of its seat and holding it's breath with every footstep as we watched Nik slowly make his way across the gorge. He had to squat down a few times because of the wind, but he completed the stunt without any complications and America was finally able to breath again. To get an idea of how high he was, check out this video:

Just when we were beginning to calm down, America was hit with yet another dose of adrenaline. The second culprit was from none other than Falling Skies. Last night's episode was intense and it left half of us amped and the other half was confused; either way we all wanted more. What did we learn? Well, we don't want to spoil it for those of you who have yet to watch, but Anne is still "crazy" and this thing with Hal and Karen is about to take a major turn. Be prepared to get a few questions answered and have even more left open. The last few minutes are the most intense so be sure to pay attention!

For those of you that did see Falling Skies and Skywire, what did you think of the shows? Do you feel Falling Skies is laying it on too thick this season or are they right on track? Hit us up here or on Twitter to give us your thoughts!
