The GameBoy version was fairly well received and earned a 79% from GameRankings. Here at GGR, we loved this year's version of the series and we're big fans of the series too. Welcome to the vault Tomb Raider!

Throwback Thursday: Tomb Raider
Happy Thursday Gamers. Today's Throwback Thursday comes from one of our Twitter followers who wanted us shed the spotlight on Tomb Raider for Gameboy Color!
The first Tomb Raider game was developed by Core Design and released for the Sega Saturn in 1996. It wasn't until 2000 when Tomb Raider was first released for the portable GameBoy Color. And although it shares the same title with the console versions, it follows a different story line. The plot of the GameBoy Color version follows Lara Croft as she travels to the Amazon to find Professor Bowmane's friend Illiat. When she arrives to Illiat's camp, he is no where to be found. Players must control Lara as she searches for Illiat and stops "other parties" from obtaining the Nightmare stone.
The GameBoy version was fairly well received and earned a 79% from GameRankings. Here at GGR, we loved this year's version of the series and we're big fans of the series too. Welcome to the vault Tomb Raider!
