E3 Day 2: Nintendo Breaks the Rules

In the past, Nintendo has conducted a live presentation like Sony and Microsoft. This year, however, they've decided to skip the theatrics and get to the core of their business - the games. Conducting a press conference would have looked ridiculous next to Playstation and Xbox's next-gen launches.  Instead. Nintendo decided to take a different approach. Today, they began by releasing a digital presentation thanking costumers for their support and discussing new games.

Pokemon X and Y
Pokemon X and Y will allow you to feed, pet and play with your Pokemon. You'll also be able to copy their emotions to make them happy. The two new games are also introducing the new Fairy type Pokemon (which will be effective against Dragon types). They will both be released October 12, 2013 for the 3DS.

Super Mario 3D World
This game is the newest installment in the Mario 3D series available to 3DS. It includes the 4 playable characters: Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad, each having their own abilities. The games allows for up to 4 players which can work together or compete throughout the game. The cat ability allows you to scratch enemies and climb, and there is even a new power up available as well. Super Mario 3D World will be available this December for WiiU.

Other notable games include:
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, The Wonderful 101, Donkey Kong County: Tropical Freeze, Bayonetta 2, Monolith Soft, and Super Smash Bros now featuring Megaman and the Villager.

New Super Smash Bros. feat. MegaMan and the Villager
3rd Party Games for WiiU and 3DS
Mario Kart 8 (Spring '14), Wii Party U (October), Wii Fit U (December),  Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Disney Infinity, Just Dance 2014, Rayman Legends, Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure, Disney's Planes, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Skylanders SWAP Force, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Sonic Lost World, and Watch_Dogs.

Additional games include a variety of new games available at Nintendo's eShop. Some of these titles include remakes of classics such as: DuckTales: Remastered, Oddworld: New and Tasty, and A World of Keflings.

Their E3 Booth will also allow attendees to play some of the new releases such as Legend of Zelda and Mario and Luigi just to name a few. Nintendo may not be having an extravagant presentation, buy they've made an honest and understated move this week. Between the digital presentation and E3 gaming booths they told us that they can't compete by the rules set by Microsoft and Sony, nor do they want to.
